Meital Dohan

Meital Dohan, the sexy and talented entertainer from the Showtime hit series Weeds, performed "Yummy Boyz," her red hot single at the Las Vegas hot spot Krave on Saturday, February 18 to a packed house. Dohan took the stage just after midnight with a full compliment of dancers and dazzling stage design. This was the first of only three shows the performer is making in the U.S.

The 31-year old actress is an Israeli comedian, stage, television and film actress, as well as a playwright. She is best known in this country for her recurring role as Yael Hoffman in the Showtime series Weeds starring Mary-Louise Parker. For fans of the hit comedy show, Dohan's more infamous appearance on the program came when her character wore a large strap-on dildo in an episode and gave it to Andy (Justin Kirk) when he decided to escape the draft by becoming a rabbi (she was the yeshiva's administrative director). Dohan also gained notoriety for her role of Abby in the Anthony Neilson play Stitching, and her work on the Sony Pictures web comedy Woke Up Dead. She currently stars in the dramatic thriller Monogamy, directed and co-written by Academy Award nominee Dana Adam Shapiro, alongside Rashida Jones and Chris Messina.

Meital is breaking onto the music scene with the release of "Yummy," which is a follow-up to her viral video "Yummy Boyz" that gathered over one million hits on YouTube. She performed a choreographed show at Krave featuring tracks off her upcoming album. Her current hit single was produced by Rami Afuni of LMFAO fame, and is now available for digital download on iTunes. "Yummy" is the first single off Meital’s forthcoming debut album, I’m In Hate With Love, slated for a Summer 2012 release, which Dohan created with legendary producer Che Pope (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lauren Hill).

The pop-diva is no stranger to the spotlight! The song behind her viral video, "Yummy Boyz," circulated in clubs and radio stations nationwide, and has been remixed by some top DJs such as Danny Verde, Electrolightz, Hector Fonseca, and Chew Fu (Rihanna, Timbaland, Katy Perry, Gossip, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga). Her music and lyrics are catchy, upbeat and exude the same sexiness and playfulness that this actress turned singer represents.

Meital is a bona fide superstar in her home country of Israel as a performer and as a two-time Ophir Award nominee (dubbed the Israeli Oscars) for her scenes in the critically acclaimed films God's Sandbox and Giraffes. She also won an Israeli Tony for "Most Promising New Actress" for her work with the renowned Cameri Theater and was principal star in the Israeli Emmy Award-Winning "Ugliest Esti" the Israeli version of "Ugly Betty." Her most recent film, Monogomy, co-starring Chris Messina and Rashida Jones, won the Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival amidst rave reviews.

A Maxim cover girl, Meital Dohan has been featured on AOL Music, Playboy.com, NY Times, Funny or Die, LA Weekly, Celebrity Cafe, Positively Celebrity, AntiMusic, iTunes, CelebrityVIPLounge, Rhapsody and many others.
