Walking Shadow Cry Of The Night on Indy Single Review by Jeff Dennis

Sometimes a buzz or hype hits a band before they even debut and that is what we have here with Walking Shadow A 3-piece concoction formed by Matt Chapman (Guitar/Vocals) from bands like 3Eighty3, Destination Zero, Gawdsmack, Sunset Strip and Kreed and Drummer, Billie Wigington who happens to play bass in Redline Drive and Caravan. They recently recruited Taylor Dennis for Bass duties to complete the triangle. Taylor is spread in several DFW bands from Def Leggend, Dreamkeeper, Walk In The Shadows and Youthanasia, so as you can see, there is a little interest going on.

The first single is "Cry Of The Night" which by the time you read this you may have heard it since they are debuting it on Dec. 16th, if so, you already know this band kicks ass! Walking Shadow will be a force to reckon with in the coming year with great guitar work, nice melodies and really aggressive vocals without being over bearing. Their goal according to Matt is for the audience to feel the show, not just watch it. They want to revive the connection made with fans and leave them with the inability to sit still! The band name comes from the play Macbeth where it says "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage". I would say that is a great description. So DFW be ready as debut shows and more songs will be coming shortly! You have been warned.
